 SKETCH OF THE PAST
Mike Silich was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania .In 1974 he graduated from Slippery Rock State College in Pennsylvania with a Bachelors of Science degree in Environmental Resource Management where he met and married his wife, Kathy.
In those early years, Kathy became a school teacher and Mike worked for a local city’s Park and Recreation Dept.
On March 31st 10:30 PM 1976, Mike and Kathy received Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and the journey began.
Mike resigned from the parks and recreation vocation in 1977 and transitioned into the roofing and sheet metal business.
This marketplace environment has served as the arena for the continual season of preparation that Springtime Harvest Ministries was birthed from and is expanding into.
Brief Beginning From Then Till Now.
Mike was raised Roman Catholic , received Jesus Christ in a Presbyterian setting, and spent 23 years in the Assemblies of God atmosphere.
During those years in 1987 he graduated from the Berean School of the Bible distant learning program, The Assemblies of God, Springfield, Missouri.
Part time ministry started to become available in nursing homes, jails, City missions and pulpit supply in local churches in the area.
Mike,being able to cross denominational, social, and vocational barriers, through building relationships, created a platform to be available as a bridging vessel for pastors, leaders, churches and community organizations.
The passion and desire to reach out to different churches and community related events brought opportunity to work with Billy Graham Crusades, Awake America Crusades and City Reaching strategies utilizing the” Jesus Video Project” from Campus Crusade for Christ.
In 2001, Springtime Harvest Ministries was birthed as Mike and Kathy launched the Itinerate ministry to be available to pastors and leaders providing a bridging ministry to encourage the Body of Christ to fulfill its destiny. They see and understand the growing need for the five fold ministry (Ephesians 4:11) and the importance to properly communicate and impart its relevance to the Body of Christ.
In 2003, Mike became a part of an international ministry called “Advancing Church Ministries Association” under the direction of Francis Frangipane, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
The ACMA is designed to utilize “The In Christ Image Training Center” as an extension to local church ministries that facilitates an online educational program and a yearly conference opportunity that promotes Christ likeness.
Springtime Harvest Ministries an ordained Itinerate ministry is burdened to encourage, and empower the body of Christ to fulfill its destiny for Kingdom Transformation.
Personal Note
Mike and Kathy are part of the launch team leadership and members of Oasis City Church, a new church in Westerville, Ohio.
Mike is an ordained minister under the covering at Covenant Church of Pittsburgh and a member of Reconciliation Ministries International under the leadership of Dr. Bishop Joseph Garlington Sr..
They have two beautiful daughters. Nicole is a reading specialist, married to Joshua, a geomorphologist and they live in Cary, North Carolina, with their son Jasper.
Tara is married to Adam and they have two sons, Judah and Silas. They live in Sunbury,
Ohio and are in fulltime ministry at Oasis City Church.
